bored out of my wits

Sigh, I am counting the minutes until the day is over. Reason is, we're going to Las Vegas tomorrow. Yeah!! Vegas, baby lol! Been working my tail off and I think I need to pamper myself a lil bit. It's a last minute thing actually 'cause my MIL just booked the hotel last night. And they told me about it this morning. Good thing my boss is a friend of mine. Otherwise, I won't be able to go. Well, wish me luck 'cause I will be at the blackjack table the whole freakin' day. Play 'til I drop! Hopefully i'll win some money to take on that crise for my crazy spending habit. And the cruise, it's in two months time.

LOL.. I am welcoming myself back to the blogging world. It's been a while since I wrote my last entry and that was before we went on a cruise to Hawaii. Well, we have another one coming and before then, I want to start blogging again. My schedule is a little bit crazy right now but i'll find time to visit this baby every chance I get. Not only I miss blogging but i miss my blogger friends too. Alrighty, my break is almost over. Gotta get back to work.

Seaweed salad anyone?

Seaweed salad anyone? I had my first taste of the salad few months back but never liked it until last Saturday. Reason is, it has an acquired taste. It's a little bit sweet and tangy. The combination doesn't appeal to me at all. As I was eating it, I accidentally put a little bit of Jalapeno peppers and that made the difference. I've been craving for the seaweed like crazy. That's the first thing that came into my mind when I wake up this morning. I can make a meal out of it. Speaking of which, it's past dinner time. I better whip up something in the kitchen before the laziness creeps in. Friday night is supposed to be a relaxing moment for me but... nah. Gotta stay up late for our scheduled movie marathon. Won't it be nice if you just sit quietly next to your honey while munching on some popcorn and your choice of drink? That's something to think about.

no work means... shopping!

Well, well.. I guess I can't make it to work(which is fine 'cause it's my babe's birthday celeb). I am not in my element today. It feels like i'm coming down on something. Good gracious, I hope it happens now. Our cruise is in two weeks and the last thing I want is to get sick. I can't imagine being sick on my vacation. Should I blame it on my babes who pulled his little number on me the day before yesterday? We've been running like a chicken with our heads cut off since last weekend. I was unbelievably exhausted. We went to Pomona last night to meet some friends and watch a concert. Got there so late but not a big deal. We were just in time for the main act. I didn't care for the opening band really.

I thought i'm not gonna be running around today. You know, just enjoy-the-morning- over-a-cup-of-coffee-while-reading-the-newspaper kinda thing. I went through my babes scheduler and true enough, he has an appointment with the dentist. It goes without saying that I should go with him. Darn it! I have everything planned already and now this! I love surprises and for his birthday, that's what his in for. Just love that look on his face when he's surprised. He's like a kid in a candy store. Golf season is over but i'm gonna get him a new pair of golf shoes. The old one that he'd been wearing had gone to the dogs. I just wish i'll manage not to let the cat out of the bag before we even get there. We were ready for bed last night when I made a tongue-and-cheek remark about it. He thought I was pulling his legs. All I know is that it'll knock his socks off! Okay, I have to get a grip on myself before I start running off my mouth. I can hear some footsteps. It might be lexie's and his trying to catch me. Ciao!

TGIF!

Whew! Thank GOD it's friday. Aren't you glad that the work week is over? I am. Tomorrow's another day and we're going bowling with some friends. But before that, we're gonna go eat at my favorite Italian Resto. What a treat. You know, you gotta live once in a while. I've been behaving myself for the past couple of weeks. Meaning, no junk food for lunch and dinner. I snack on carrots and celery stickss plus a can of soda on the side. If it's not "behaving" on my part then I don't know what else to call it. My babes left me no choice but to do it. Otherwise, I can't splurge on the weekend. Gone are the days of piggin' out. Sometimes I get lucky. If I really really sweat my brains out doing the crunches then he'd let me have anything I want. It's defeating the whole purpose but what can I say? Who's gonna say no to a cold bottle of mike's hard lemonade and a couple slice of pepperoni mushroom pizza?? Not me, boy. I'd stay on that treadmill for an hour if it kills me in exchange for that. See, I am hungry right now. Gotta go grab somethin' to eat. Be right back.

FixAuto Day 1

Have you ever had you car fixed? Whenever I get home from somewhere, I always check my car if I or somebody else put a dent on it. I am so dependent on that baby. See, I know nothing about car repairs since it is not my domain. auto body repair is way beyond my alley. If I need to have my car fixed, I'll have somebody do it for me. I think I am doing a great job driving it. Still, accidents happen. Let us be reminded that there are other drivers on the road.
